ಸಾಂಸ್ಕೃತಿಕ ನಗರಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ:
ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರವು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ 12ನೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಗರವಾಗಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರವು ನವರಾತ್ರಿಉತ್ಸವ "ದಸರಾ" ಹಬ್ಬಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದವಾಗಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಪಂಚದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವಂತಹ ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ದ ನಗರ. ಮೈಸೂರು ಅರಮನೆಯ ನಗರವೆಂದು ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಹಿಂದೆ ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರವು ಒಡೆಯರ್ ಅರಸು ಸಂಸ್ಥಾನದ ರಾಜಧಾನಿಯಾಗಿ ಒಡೆಯರ್ ವಂಶಸ್ಥರ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಿತು. ಒಡೆಯರ್ ವಂಶಸ್ಥರು, ಕಲೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಂಸ್ರ್ಕುತಿಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಪಾರ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದು, ಆದ ಕಾರಣ ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರವು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ರ್ಕುತಿಕವಾಗಿ , ಅಪಾರ ಶಿಲ್ಪಿಕಲೆಗಳಿಂದ ಕಂಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರದ ಅರಸರ ಅರಮನೆ ವಸ್ತುಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಮೃಗಾಲಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಾಮುಂಡೇಶ್ವರಿ ದೇವಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ದಿನಂಪ್ರತಿ ಅಪಾರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗರನ್ನು ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರಿನ ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಪ್ರೇಕ್ಷಣೀಯ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಾದ ಶ್ರೀರಂಗಪಟ್ಟಣ, ಕೃಷ್ಣರಾಜಸಾಗರ, ಶಿವನಸಮುದ್ರ ಜಲಪಾತ, ನಂಜನಗೂಡು ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳೂ ತುಂಬಾ ಪ್ರಖ್ಯಾತಿ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ,
ಇಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲದೆ, ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರವು ಶ್ರೀ ಗಂಧದ ಉತ್ಪನ್ನಗಳಿಗೂ ಹೆಸರುವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯವು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯ ಹವಾಮಾನದಿಂದ ಕೂಡಿದೆ.ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯು 1888ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯಾಗಿ, 1977ರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯಾಗಿ ಬದಲಾಯಿತು. ಹಲವು ದಕ್ಷ ಆಡಳಿತಗಾರರ ನೈಪುಣ್ಯತೆಯಿಂದ ಮೈಸೂರು ನಗರವು ಮೂಲಭೂತ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳಾದ ನೀರು ಸರಬರಾಜು, ಆರೋಗ್ಯ, ಒಳಚರಂಡಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಹಾಗೂ ತಾಜ್ಯವಸ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ಸು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ.
Brief about Mysore City :
Mysore is the second largest city in the state of Karnataka . Mysore is famous for the festivities that take place during the Dasara festival(Navaratri) held every year. The Mysore Dasara is famous far and wide and attracts people from all parts. If you are visiting. Mysore, the city of palaces, is a popular travel destination in south India. The city was earlier the capital of the Wodeyar rules. The Wodeyar rulers were great patrons of art and culture, which you can see in the rich heritage of the city. Besides its numerous palaces and royal buildings, Mysore City is also known for proximity to several other places of interest such as Srirangapatna, Krishnaraja Sagara Dam and Shivanasamudra falls. The history of Mysore is clearly reflected in the rich architecture of the city. It is the erstwhile capital of the Mysore Maharajas, who ruled Mysore state from this royal city.
In addition to its numerous attractions, the Mysore City is also known for sandalwood product. Located in the tropics, the Mysore has a moderate climate. If you are visiting Mysore during the summer months then you will see that the temperature varies from 20o Celsius to 35o Celsius while the winter temperature of Mysore remains in the range of 12o Celsius to 30o Celsius. The civic administration for the city is managed by the Mysore City Corporation, which was established as a municipality in 1888 and later converted into a Corporation in 1977. The Corporation oversees the engineering works, health, sanitation, water supply, administration and taxation in the city.

ಮೈಸೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯು ಜನನ ಮರಣದ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು 1-1-91 ರಿಂದ ಈಗಿನವರೆಗಿನ ದಾಖಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲು ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ, ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷ್ ಎರುಡೂ ಭಾಷೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಕಟ್ಟಡ ರಹದಾರಿ, ನೀರಿನ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಬಿಲ್ಲು, ಉದ್ದಿಮೆ ರಹದಾರಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಗಣಕೀಕರಿಸಿದೆ. ನಿರ್ಮಲನಗರ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಆಸ್ತಿ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಗಣಕೀಕರಣ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಅಂತಿಮ ಹಂತದಲ್ಲಿದೆ

Water Supply billing also computerized and spot billing facility is also available.Collection centres are also computerized. SMS integrated public Grivences and Redressal centre(Call Centre) facilities are available.We are in final step to computerise property tax collection under Nirmal Nagar Scheme

ಮೈಸೂರು ಮಹಾನಗರ ಪಾಲಿಕೆಯ ಎಲ್ಲಾ 65 ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮನೆ ಮನೆಯ ಕಸ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಣೆಯ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದು, 60ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳ ಘನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಸ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಗುತ್ತಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗೂ 5 ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಗಳ ಘನ ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವಸ್ತು ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯನ್ನು ' ಫೆಡರೇಷನ್ ಆಫ್ ಮೈಸೂರ್ ಸಿಟಿ ವಾರ್ಡ್ ಪಾರ್ಲಿಮೆಂಟ್ ' ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದೆ.
Solid Waste Management:
In Mysore City, out of 65 wards all wards, door to door garbage collection is in progress.60 wards are handled by outsourced labours and 5 wards are by federation of Mysore City wards parliament.72 autotippers, 396 pushcarts deployed for the waste collection.Chicken and mutton market waste are collected separately. In addition to this 168 numbers of 2 compartment, auto tippers procured under JnNURM to collect the dry and wet waste form households.
